In summary, the electron membrane is full of donors and the hole membrane full of acceptors.
If the acceptor and donor concentration are not high enough we will have series resistance losses.

Also if the the metal contact is too thin, we will have series resistance losses.
Series resistance losses lead to a drop in the voltage!
